Our names are John & Ethan. Our business at the Marketplace was called The Bone Guys. We decided to sell dog treats because no one else had that idea & we wanted to stand out and do something different.
Making the product was frustrating in the beginning. The ingredients we used at first didn’t hold the bone. We had to make 3 different batches until we got it right. We used my dog Ryder as a taste tester. He loved every bit of it.
Also a struggle was getting together. My partner and I had very busy schedules but we got the job done. We had a lot of fun together and putting it all together.
We were so nervous at the Marketplace. The first 15 minutes we weren’t selling anything but then everyone wanted to buy & we were 3rd to sell out! Yay!!
We donated a portion of our profits to causes we believe in. My partner Ethan donated to the fight against cancer & I bought a gift for an child in need this Christmas
At the end we felt great- great about selling out, being successful and about helping others.
