“Starting Your Own Business: Become an Entrepreneur!” by Adam Toren and Matthew Toren
Matthew and Adam Toren are not only brothers; they are also business partners and authors. How cool is that! Just like our ‘treps, they launched their first business together at an early age. With guidance from their Grampa Joe, they sold toy airplanes at a local festival. Now, many years and businesses later, Matthew and Adam share their expertise with young entrepreneurs in “Starting Your Own Business: Become an Entrepreneur!”
For TREP$ Kids: Kids will love that this book is just the right size, making it very approachable to young readers. At slightly over 100 pages, it never feels overwhelming. Also, the writing style will appeal to kids, as it is casual and straightforward with just the right amount of “you can do it” encouragement. The chapters echo the topics of our TREP$ workshops, so you know we LOVE that!
For TREP$ Workshop Facilitators: You will love that the authors include a list of “Words That Sell”, divided into nouns, verbs, and adjectives (page 83). This is a fantastic tool for the kids to use as they plan flyers, signs, and more. If you are looking to add an extra lesson, you could plan one completely around the topic of persuasive language!
