Meet Krystiana of Kryssi’s Book Shop! She recently participated in TREP$ for the second time at Long Valley Middle School in Washington Township, NJ, and we are excited to showcase her business in the TREP$ Student Spotlight. Read more to learn how Kryssi discovered a hidden talent:
Hello! My name is Krystiana, and I am the proud owner and author for Kryssi’s Book Shop! I have written six books, and ironically, I started writing books because of TREP$. I had started making books before TREP$, but once TREP$ started, I needed an idea for a product, so I chose to sell my first book, titled “Soar.” It’s usually hard to get my books printed and bound with my family before TREP$, but this year I got two new books done for the event! I am happy that I chose to sell my first book, or else I would’ve never continued writing. I plan to use my profit to plan and print more upcoming books. I realized through the TREP$ Marketplaces and workshops that selling and marketing is not as easy as I thought after all. You have to learn how to advertise, how to market yourself well, and how to get the consumer’s attention. I discovered through TREP$ that I want to be an author when I grow up, and how to market myself and earn a profit. I hope others decide to do TREP$ because, who knows, maybe they will find out they have a hidden talent, too!
