Girl Scout earns GOLD with TREP$

October 02, 2017

Congratulations Rebecca Van Seeters on earning the highest award in Girl Scouting, the GOLD Award! Becky participated in TREP$ at Walter T Bergen Middle School in Bloomingdale, NJ.  Last year, as a senior in high school, Becky chose to bring TREP$ to a new school as her Girl Scout Gold Award project.  She felt that TREP$ had made an important impact in her life and wanted to make a difference by helping a new school guide its students as they launch their first businesses.  She worked tirelessly with the administration and teachers at a new school, helping them learn everything about offering the program.  The students at North Boulevard School in Pompton Plains, NJ, benefited from Rebecca’s hard work and enjoyed a very successful first implementation!  She was personally thanked at the TREP$ Marketplace by Principal Loeffler, who raved about impressed he was with Rebecca’s work, the program’s success, and the young entrepreneurs’ businesses.   Pictured above is Becky, with her parents by her side, being recognized for her achievement by the mayor of Bloomingdale, NJ.
