"The thing I liked most about the TREP$ Marketplace was when people first walked up and asked me questions and actually bought my product.  They asked me the questions as if I was really a business person!" -- Taylor, Grade 5

Nothing can replace the extreme feelings of actually taking your product to market -- the excitement, the nervous energy, the anticipation!  The TREP$ Marketplace defines this program by allowing each student to take a risk, to apply what they have learned, and to actually operate a business!

Many entrepreneurship programs on today's market fall short by only allowing students to plan businesses or simulate business ownership.  In contrast, TREP$ gives kids the opportunity to enjoy the feeling of doing, rather than just planning or pretending.  The TREP$ Marketplace makes it real.

ImageWith an official ribbon-cutting, performed by your town mayor or school principal, the TREP$ Marketplace begins.  The children stand behind their tables proudly showing the world what they have accomplished.  They are entrepreneurs in every sense.  They have taken a risk to see their vision brought to reality.

Professionally dressed, the students interact with their customers, answering questions and making sales.  The merchandise is neatly displayed and thoughtfully priced. The community is amazed by the dedication at such a young age.  Parents beam with pride as their children handle both buying and non-buying customers with an equal level of professionalism.  Peers admire their courage and wish they had joined.  Teachers show encouragement by asking questions about their products, pricing, table display, and advertising.  The 'treps love that these are all decisions that they made for themselves.  They feel empowered.

All of the hard work and effort has provided them with something more valuable than a good grade on a test.   The reward fits.  They have been given a memory that will last a lifetime:  the day they launched their first business.  Read more about The Benefits of offering TREP$ to your students.....
